Octavian Micro Development Inc. is pleased to announce the public
release of DroGIF 1.1, a MacOS shareware utility for making animated GIFs.
Although DroGIF does not allow control over placement or optimization
of GIFs, DroGIF is so simple to use that "my mom can use it."
Simply drag GIF or PICT files (made with PhotoShop for example) onto the DroGIF
application and DroGIF will produce a new animated GIF!
DroGIF is ideal for internet advertising or animating buttons, where all images are of the
same size.
A simple configuration text file (DroGIF.CFG) allows you to tweak some features,
such as delay between the images, looping, output file name, etc.
Conversely, you can drag DroGIF.CFG files from other locations onto the DroGIF application, and those
will override the default configuration.
In the demo, COMMENT, ONECTAB, STRIP, TRANSIDX, and TRANSCOLOR are ignored. Upon registration, we'll
e-mail you a fully enabled version. DroGIF is shareware $15 CND (about $11 USD).
SpliGIF is a utility that takes an animated GIF and re-writes each frame as its own GIF. SpliGIF is $5 CND.
As of 97.06.12, DroGIF with PICT (also known as DroGIF+) ceased to exist as a
seperate product.
There is now one product called DroGIF. Anyone that purchased DroGIF before 97.06.12 gets
this update free.
